PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Construction Management services oversee the implementation of a capital improvement and infrastructure upgrades program throughout the facility. The project is being completed in ten bid packages and includes the following projects:

  • Replacement of hospital hospital-wide heating loop piping system, as well as replacement of approx. 500 patient room induction units

  • Modernization of Elevator Cars 1 – 6, including Code Pink technology

  • Replacement of all interior and exterior facility lighting systems, including patient room lighting systems, with LED lighting and controls

  • Replacement of select Air Handling Units

  • Facility-wide BMS Upgrades

  • Upgrades to the existing chiller system and compressed air system

  • Replacement of De Aerator Tank

The majority of the work required for this project was to be completed second shift and weekends over three years. All work within patient rooms required extensive coordination with facility personnel to accommodate closures. Given the extensive coordination efforts, work within the patient rooms was completed in a single 24-hour shutdown.
