    Grant Vine Consulting Engineers PC is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Engineering Director to lead and grow our engineering team. This is a senior leadership position for an experienced engineering professional who combines strong technical expertise with proven management, client relationship, and project delivery skills.

    The Engineering Director will oversee a team of approximately 10–15 engineers and play a key role in the continued growth of Grant Vine’s engineering practice. The position will have a particular focus on decarbonization, energy efficiency, healthcare, and higher education, while supporting a diverse portfolio of technically complex projects throughout New York State and the Northeast.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 10–15 mechanical and electrical engineers, providing technical direction, professional development, and performance management.

    • Oversee the engineering team’s workload, workflow, staffing, and project assignments to ensure projects are properly resourced and delivered on schedule.

    • Provide technical leadership on complex mechanical and electrical engineering projects from conceptual design through construction and commissioning.

    • Develop and implement engineering solutions focused on decarbonization, electrification, energy efficiency, and building performance.

    • Manage projects involving boiler and chiller replacements, BMS controls, electrification, lighting, HVAC systems, power distribution, and traditional MEP/FP systems.

    • Establish project schedules, monitor milestones, and ensure engineering deliverables are completed on time and within budget.

    • Monitor project budgets, staffing requirements, and overall financial performance.

    • Review engineering work for quality, technical accuracy, constructability, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.

    • Work closely with clients, contractors, architects, facility personnel, and other project stakeholders to identify needs, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships.

    • Participate in client meetings and business development activities, helping identify opportunities to expand Grant  Vine’s engineering services.

    • Assist with proposals, fee development, scopes of work, and project pursuits.

    • Foster a collaborative engineering culture that emphasizes communication, accountability, innovation, and high-quality project delivery.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required; advanced degree is a plus.

    • 10+ years of professional engineering experience, with demonstrated progression into engineering or project management leadership.

    • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license strongly preferred.

    • Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring a team of engineers.

    • Strong technical background in complex mechanical and electrical engineering systems.

    • Experience with projects involving boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, BMS controls, electrification, lighting, power systems, and traditional MEP/FP systems.

    • Experience with decarbonization, energy efficiency, building electrification, or other sustainability initiatives strongly preferred.

    • Healthcare and/or higher education project experience highly desirable.

    • Proven ability to manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and workflow.

    • Strong client relationship and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with owners, facility personnel, architects, contractors, and other consultants.

    Grant & Vine is seeking an Associate Project Manager who will assist with the management and coordination of multiple lighting and energy-efficiency projects from planning through completion. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, contractors, facility personnel, and internal team members to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the management of multiple lighting retrofit and energy-efficiency projects simultaneously.

    • Coordinate project schedules, documentation, procurement activities, and project deliverables.

    • Communicate directly with clients, contractors, vendors, and facility representatives.

    • Attend project meetings, site visits, and field inspections.

    • Track project milestones, budgets, schedules, and action items.

    • Assist in preparing reports, project updates, and client communications.

    • Coordinate with engineering and construction management staff to support project execution.

    • Identify project challenges and work collaboratively to develop solutions.

    Grant and Vine is growing and seeking a highly motivated mid-level electrical engineer and an entry-level electrical engineer for employment in our Troy, New York office. Some travel is required, approximately 10–15% of time, occasionally overnight.

    The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

    • Self-motivated, solution-oriented, organized, driven; a team-focused critical thinker capable of independent detailed work

    • Competency in a wide array of design functions including: equipment selection; system sizing; load calculations; product specifications; design layouts for electrical systems

    • Proficiency in preparing electrical design calculations, develop drawings, formulate technical specifications and create technical reports for review and submission

    • Able to conduct field audits, survey existing conditions and recording information about building components, including lighting, switchgear, motors and other electrical equipment

    • Demonstrate the ability to research and apply building code, energy, regulatory and industry code requirements

    • Experience in coordinating, supporting and communicating with colleagues across disciplines and receive direction from project leads

    • Desire to grow to be a project leader and create technical design solutions

    Minimum Requirements

    • At least one year of experience working on US-based projects

    • Proficient with all MS Office products

    • Familiarity with electrical design software, short circuit analysis and other complex engineering tasks, is a plus

    • Candidate should be familiar to proficient with technical drafting using AutoCAD and have project experience in lighting and calculation programs

    • Entry-level Electrical Designer or Jr. Electrical Engineer shall have 1 to 3 years of design experience and electrical knowledge

    • Mid-level Engineer shall have 3 to 10 years of electric design experience and a portfolio of successful projects

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related experience. PE License in New York State, CEM, LC, a plus

    Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is a plus

  • Grant and Vine, with offices in New York City, Troy, NY, and Lake Success, NY is looking for Experienced and Entry-Level Construction Superintendents to join our Construction Management team in the Metro New York City area.

    Candidates must be highly motivated and while experience in a general construction environment, preferably healthcare, is preferred, it is not a requirement for consideration. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are a prerequisite. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coordinate subcontractor work of multiple bid packages with Owner representatives. Daily quality control of workmanship to ensure contract compliance. Work closely with Senior CM and other project team members to address daily issues. Read, interpret plans, project specifications and bulletins. Plan, prepare and manage schedules including subcontractor weekly look aheads. Attend all project meetings. Possess a strong effective work ethic to enable communications both verbal and written. Be able to identify and request all long lead items associated with the project. Coordination and implementation of all owner driven requests/requirements. Must have the ability to manage multiple subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure subcontractor compliance with all project specific safety requirements. Demonstrate the ability to think analytically and strategically to solve problems. Computer literacy is a requirement.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in general construction, 5 of which must be in a Construction Superintendent role is preferred but not required for consideration.  We will train the right candidate.

    • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Strong problem solving and decision making skills.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.

    • Experience with hospital and healthcare work is preferred, but not required.

    • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Projects will range in size from $5M to $50M.

    • Strong problem solving and decision making skills.

    • Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office Products is preferred.

    • Experience with Battery Electric Bus projects a plus but not required.
