our story
1991
Founded and incorporated in 1991 by John Guth, Grant & Vine (Formerly Guth DeConzo) has been a New York-based industry leader in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection design and engineering for over 30 years.

2004
In 2004, sensing an industry need for energy-related design and engineering services, Jeremy McDonald, P.E. joined Grant & Vine as a Firm Principal and opened their Troy, NY office.
Since the founding of the Energy Services Group under Mr. McDonald’s leadership, Grant & Vine has emerged as an industry leader in energy efficiency projects across New York State and the Northeast.

2014
In 2014, Grant & Vine created a Construction Management (CM) Group, based out of Troy, NY, to oversee the construction and commissioning of energy-related projects being designed and engineered by Grant & Vine.
Given the success of the CM Group in this endeavor, they expanded into the private sector, offering their high degree of professionalism and customer service to Construction Management services-only clientele.
At present, over 75% of Construction Management projects undertaken by Grant & Vine are for CM Services only. Since its inception, the Construction Management Group has been at the forefront of managing some of the most technically complex and logistically challenging projects in the Metro New York City area as well as throughout the State of New York.

2019
As the company grew, a fresh rebrand was needed to show our commitment to the future.
Still operating as Guth DeConzo, a new logo and color scheme marked a new chapter in our history.

2025
A rebrand in 2025 marked the beginning of a new name and look for the company. Grant & Vine.
Despite the identity change, Grant & Vine still has the same leaders in engineering and construction management services of the Northeast.
